With the onset of the summer and everything from allergies to the flu we have decided to build a list of the top 5 medical sites that we feel really do deserve to be called Great Medical Sites. We have covered 3 information based sites and two sites that are UK based medical sites that were submitted to us by our submission script. So without further fluff here they are for your medical viewing pleasure.
WebMD – provides a wealth of health information and tools for managing your health from an award-winning Website, which is continuously reviewed for accuracy and timeliness.
HealthCentral – provides a collection of Websites providing trusted medical information from doctors, researchers and expert patients, as well as news, information, video and other multi-media content on health related subjects.
WrongDiagnosis.com – is one of the world’s leading providers of online medical health information. The site is an independent, objective source of factual, mainstream health information for both consumer and health professionals.
British Medical Journal – All articles published in the weekly BMJ from January 1994. The BMJ aims to publish rigorous, accessible and entertaining material that will help doctors and medical students in their daily practice, lifelong learning and career development. This is a UK based site
General Medical Council – The General Medical Council’s role is protecting patients and guiding doctors. It keeps up to date registers of qualified doctors, fosters good medical practice, promotes high standards of medical education and deals firmly with doctors whose fitness to practice is in doubt. This is a UK based site
